This spring I am exploring the concept of Painted Cloth, something I have not really tried before, and I am finding it liberating!
There is freedom in brush strokes and they add life to the fabric in another way than stencilling or printing would. And I am really enjoying my painted cloth adventure so far!
My first idea was creating a Painted Slogan dress from an old bridal skirt (see below). My slogan ‘Stop wasting time on anything else than Kindness’ – is meant as a global message to us all..

I created the dress from an old bridal skirt saved from landfill – you can see a summary of the process on Pinterest with this link – I hope you get inspired to do your own painted cloth project!

I am looking forward to wearing my dress to a party or event (when I’m feeling brave enough!) because I really do believe in the message it so proudly conveys, the world would be a better place if we all valued kindness above all. My next idea is to paint on Tulle/Netting, I will let you know how that goes soon..
